Homework: Fluency + 100 minutes (minimum) read & logged.

Word Work: This week’s words can be found in your child’s planner. Our next spelling test is scheduled for Friday.

Writing: We will get warmed up for our persuasive writing unit by writing book reviews. The students will consider how to talk a reader into picking up a new series or recommended read!

Grammar: Our grammar focus is on lessons 19: Future-Tense Verbs.

Social Studies: This is our transitional week into a unit on the Chumash people. The unit will be introduced through the story of the rainbow bridge and a larger discussion on the role of storytelling in Native American life.

Religion: Our focus remains on Lent as we prepare for Easter.
