Hello Families!
As we conclude the busy month of October, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support of our school and classroom endeavors. Recently, I attended a workshop organized by the Columbus Museum of Creativity. The workshop discussed the relationship between creativity, innovation, and critical thinking skills. It highlighted how activities like math, creative writing, cooking, music, and gardening enrich our educational environment. It is noteworthy that these skills often align with children’s intrinsic curiosity about the mechanisms of the world around them.
In our curriculum, we have explored the production of American currency, which captivated the students’ interest of how many steps were involved! In religion we have explored the use of manners, underscoring that polite expressions and acts of kindness reflect respect for others and show Jesus’ love. In our writing activities, we begin to focus on using adjectives to enhance the vividness of our descriptive sentences.
Our Halloween door is absolutely adorable! They had a terrific time voting on what the door would be then designing the variety of features we have on it.
Have a wonderful week!
Mrs. Driscoll
