The 6th grade is now studying the Agricultural Revolution. This is important to history because farming allowed people to settle down and live together.
This begins the idea of labor and government. Since we are so lucky to live in an agricultural area 2 parents of SHS came in the classroom and presented a lecture on ancient foods from the Cradle of Civilization that are still eaten today. They donated foods for the class to try such as, pomegranate seeds, lentils, olives, hummus, figs, and dates. Many 6th graders tried new foods and enjoyed the class!
