Today the 6th grade class had the opportunity to experience unearthing an ancient city by using tools to dig for artifacts. Each group found artifacts such as pottery, weapons, writing tablets, and religious idols. The groups then discussed and presented their findings. Once this activity was completed they went into the Skirball museum and studied ancient writing, trade routes, and burial chambers with hands on activities. It was a great day filled with fun learning experiences. Each student received a pass so they can visit the museum for free. Please take your families to the museum to see many interesting exhibits.
