Dear Families,

It was very nice to see everyone at Back to School Night. As the weather starts to warm up please make sure to send plenty of water to school with your student. This Friday is a noon dismissal. There is no school next Monday, September 2nd for observance of Labor Day. Picture Day is next Wednesday. Please see below an overview of our week:

Math: This week we are focusing on divisibility rules, prime and composite numbers. IXL for this week are A.2 Place Value and A.8 Rounding.

Social Studies: Chapter 1, The Search for Early People.

Science: We will compare and contrast the parts of animal and plant cells.

Vocabulary: Unit 1

Grammar: What do letters mean? We capitalize abbreviations, initials, acronyms, and organizations.

Workshops: Our focus this week is keeping a consistant point of view through our writing.

Religion: This week we are focusing on the different types of prayer.
