The sixth grade continued learning about the Agricultural revolution today during history class. Two presentations were given to the students about ancient foods that are still eaten today. The presentation focused on the importance of agriculture to all civilizations from ancient Sumeria to today in Ventura. The class heard about the farming methods used today locally and how the foods are grown around town. The final highlight of the discussion was a feast on dates, persimmons, pomegranates, lentils, hummus, flat bread and more! One student summed up the best part of the class by exclaiming, “I loved all the new food I tried today”!
