Our 8th grade closed their last week of classes enjoying learning about the periodic table.  They researched various elements from the table, were able to touch and hold various elements and enjoyed freezing flowers with liquid nitrogen.  We even built the periodic table out of cookies and enjoyed eating them too!

7th grade finished the year learning about how organisms are classified using scientific names.  We enjoyed a lab outdoors where we searched for unidentified organisms and named them according to their characteristics.

6th graders ended their year with a project-based assessment in which they built an aquifer, constructed wells and followed the path of polluted water.  They applied what was learned in class to assess how two different kinds of contaminants affect our ground water.
