Dear Families,

Thank you all for coming to Parent Appreciation Day.  The students had a great time.   On Tuesday Progress Reports and Star testing parent reports will be going home.   Wednesday is Student Appreciation Day.  It is a free dress day for the students and Mrs. Benner will be providing lunch for the students.  Below is an overview of our week.

Math:  We will review the properties and construction of bar graphs and discuss the properties of  circle graphs.  We will be taking our unit 5 test next Tuesday. There is no IXL sections this week.

Vocabulary:  Unit 7.  We will have our unit 7 test on February 9th.

Grammar:  This week our focus is on progressive forms of verbs and perfect tenses.

ELA:  We continue this week with recognizing literacy elements.  Our focus this week will be irony, symbolism and figurative language.

Social Studies:  We will explain the causes and effects of the Sugar Act of 1764.  We will have our next states test on February 15th.

Science:  We will focus on how wind is caused by differences in air pressure.  These differences create both local and planetary winds.

Religion:  This week we are reviewing the Seven Sacraments and their symbols.
