Yesterday the 8th grade class read and discussed the final Gospel reading for our special Thursday lessons. The reading for the seventh Sunday in Easter was very appropriate for the class as they prepare to move on from SHS. The Gospel focused on Jesus preparing the disciples for his Ascension into heaven. He tells them that He has accomplished his work on earth and will now join his Father in Heaven. The class related this to their accomplishments here at SHS and now feel ready for the challenges they face in high school. It has been a wonderful year discussing the Good News with them every week!
