Hello First Grade Families!
We had a wonderful week celebrating Earth Day and Arbor Day! Last week we also had fun with the middle school students coming to create some Color Run decorations featuring their self-portraits! Very adorable! I cannot wait to see all the students’ art hanging up on Friday!
To celebrate Earth Day (week) we looked at different parts of our world and how people are finding ways to conserve resources and promote the growth of endangered animals. For math, we reviewed our mixed equations with addition and subtraction signs on the same paper. We also had fun with a Chutes and Ladders math game with a “Recycle or Trash” theme.
During religion, we are studying the Apostles and how they served Jesus. We also incorporated how our earth is our home and that we cherish and care for.
“Share Days” are here this week! The theme this month is “Your Favorite Memory”.
Have a great week!
