Here’s what we are doing in first grade…
Language Arts: We are working hard to sound out those tricky words without slipping into our “Bad Habits”. Within phonics this week, we will be learning about the /ou/ and /ow/ sound as in “sound” and “town”. Our spelling words do not come from our spelling book.
Math: We are continuing with Unit 7. We are learning about polygons, 3-dimensional shapes, and symmetry this week!
Science: We are on the last part of our break from science this week as we finish our school fair project!
Social Studies: We will be putting the final touches on our school fair project this week! Please come see all of our adventures during our School Fair on Wednesday night beginning at 6pm in Biedermann Hall!
Religion: We will be reading from our Family Life Series this week. We will learn about how we care for ourselves.
Homework for the Week:
- Monday: Rainbow Write and Math Worksheet
- Tuesday: 6 Sentences and IXL Math Skill V.2
- Wednesday: Math Worksheet
- Thursday: 6 Sentences and Math Worksheet
- Friday: Read 2 Times
Reminders for the Week:
- PE Uniforms on Tuesday and Thursday.
- Library on Wednesday. Please remind your student to bring their library book so they may check out a new one.
- Stations of the Cross will be on Wednesday at 2pm.
- School Fair on Wednesday beginning at 6pm in Biedermann Hall.
- Friday is a full day.
