Dear Parents,                          March 26, 2018

Here’s what we are doing in first grade…

Language Arts: We are preparing for our publishing this week! As it will be a short week, we will take this time to review! There are no new spelling words this week.

Math: We are continuing Unit 8. We will be learning how to make change and begin discussing equal shares.

Science: We will continue our weather chapter in science!

Social Studies: As it is a short week, we will be unable to begin a new chapter in social studies!

Religion: We will continue to read from our textbooks about Jesus’ Gift of Himself. In addition, we continue Benjamin’s Box this week- a beautiful story to help explain the this holy time to young students.

We will continue to celebrate Read Across America this week! If your student reads at least five more minutes than the assigned 20 minutes of reading per night, they will be given a raffle ticket to be entered into a drawing held on April 13!
