A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS

Language Arts:

Our skill this week is reading in “bigger scoops”.  We will learn to move ahead with our eyes instead of reading one. word. at. a. time.   This is a skill we work on all year.  Practicing the booklet with sight words and phrases daily will help improve their fluency.

In writing, students continue writing about their small moments.  We will be adding detail to our writing and pictures.  I will introduce a rubric to them this week.

Math: We begin Unit 2. Check out the letter in their H.W. to find out what this unit is all about.

Religion: God is Good…We took our nature walk last week.  We found how God is good to us through nature.

REMINDERS

  • We will return our library books on Tuesday and check out a new one. 🙂  Next week, we begin to check out two books.
  • Remember PE uniforms on Tuesday and Thursday! Please make sure that long hair is pulled back and all students are wearing tennis shoes that they can tie themselves.
