We began Catholic Schools Week on Friday. This week we will be appreciating staff, students, and parish. Please look below for a few activities happening this week.



A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS


Language Arts:

Reading: We are working on identifying unusual words like contraction words and compound words while reading.

Reading Words/Phonics/Grammar:  We will start our lesson on adjectives. Thank you for giving our class a head start on this lesson on Friday.

Writing: Writing Sentences beginning with capital letter, ending with a punctuation. Students have started writing “How to Write a Teaching Book.” I’m hearing all about dinosaurs, soccer, karate, dancing and more!

Math: We are skip counting by 10’s (8, 18, 28, …). We will also continue reading temperature, numbers coming before and after, and addition.

Science: If the sun allows this week, we will be learning about shadows.

Social Studies: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
