Homework
Students will not have homework during Easter Break. Please continue providing your child with opportunities to read during their vacation. You may also have them review their math facts on IXL.
New Spelling Words for all this week. I am NOT giving a spelling test this week. Students will have their spelling test on Thursday, May 2nd.

A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS
Language Arts: We are learning about vowel teams such as ee, ea, oa, and ai. These vowel teams make long vowel sounds.
We are reading our books and practicing taking words apart and slowing down our reading when we don’t understand.
Retelling a story is another skill we are working on by reading Dory Fantasmagory (read aloud). The kids are loving this book! We will be done by Wednesday with this book.
Math: I will be giving them a math test today (Tuesday). I will be sending it home tomorrow. I will allow retakes on May 3rd if your child needs more time to practice some math skills. A reminder to all, there are two parts to the math test (PART A and PART B). Part A is what I make sure all students MASTER and part B plans my future lessons. I will only have them retake the test of PART A if it’s not mastered.
Science: Learning about MATTER continues…
