First grade LOVED the zoo field trip! I hope you heard about their zoo trip highlight this weekend. We are getting ready to end our year. Please make sure to check out the school calendar on our website especially for Monday’s activity. 🙂
Homework: No Homework
Students have a spelling sort this week and will have a spelling test on Friday.
I always encourage students to read for fun. Please continue to find time to read throughout the week. Students will be required to do homework during the summer so we don’t want to break the habit of reading daily at home.
A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS
Language Arts: We continue reading and applying ALL our reading strategies we’ve learned. Reading Assessments continue this week.
Math: We’ve been learning about fractions and reviewing the clock to the hour and half hour. Math assessments this week.
REMINDERS/EVENTS
Tuesday & Thursday: P.E. This will be our last week of P.E.
Library: All books are due by Thursday.
Friday: Noon Dismissal & MOVE UP Day! Students will get to spend some time with their second-grade teacher, Mrs. Espinosa! Exciting day!
Monday, June 3rd: Field Day! Your child will have free dress on Monday but must wear their designated “family” color. CLICK HERE to find out the family color. Please look in your child’s planner for their family number.
Thursday, June 6th: Noon Dismissal
Friday, June 7th: Last day of school with a 10:00 a.m. dismissal.
