We have started our first full week of Zoomies and Roomies. We continue to work on our new routines. Keep it up First Graders!
HOMEWORK
Reading Log: Please read 20 min. daily
FLUENCY
Sight Words: Reminder to study sight words daily. We will begin sight word assessments on Thursday. I thought we would get it started last week but we were quite busy getting our new routines down.
No MATH IXL OR LANGUAGE IXL (You are okay with reviewing skills on your own for this week). We will resume regular IXL next week.
Spelling: Study for spelling test on Monday.
Here are a few skills we are working on in Reading:
*reading and remembering the story.
*rereading books
Here are a few skills we are working on in Phonics:
- reviewing vowels, digraphs, and blends.
Math: We are learning vocabulary: addend, sum, tens frame. We continue reviewing time by the hour and half hour, drawing a clock, adding, and exchanging pennies for nickels.
Religion: We will learn about Creation. We will be learning a Poem on the seven days of creation. We will also be adding prayers to our prayer journal.
Science/Art: Learning about pumpkins and making a pumpkin pattern on a white pumpkin.
REMINDERS
- Thursday: Picture Day: Wear school uniform
- Friday: NOON Dismissal! Halloween Free Dress; No COSTUMES.
