Sneak Peek To Our Academic Week

MATH:  We will write numbers to 100! I can’t believe the progress the kiddos have made in writing their numbers. I remember asking them to write numbers 1-30 in August. Thank you for helping them move along.

We are working on math fact fluency, temperature, measuring in inches and reviewing word problems.

READING:  We are learning to read a book and give an introduction. Practice at home. Have your child read a book a few times. They must be able to tell their partner (parent/stuffed animal) the following BEFORE they read the book to you.

*Read the Title

*Retell the important parts of the story

*Get you excited about the book

*Plan for how you are going to read the book (like a teacher)

Writing: We will make a card for a grandparent or elderly friend. Today we reflected on granparents and how we can make them feel special. Please look in their backpack to find the card they made. They must mail it or give it to their grandparent. We want to bring a smile to our family or friends.

We are learning how to write an introduction to or How To Books and will learn to write a conclusion as well.

SPELLING/WORD SORT:  Look in their planner for the spelling words. Spelling test on Tuesday.  Have them say it and lay it for you.

RELIGION: Jesus performs miracles: Jesus Cures a Sick Man/ Jesus Brings a Girl Back to Life
