May has arrived! This week we are excited about our In-N-Out day on Friday. A reminder to check your email sent by Ms. Benner regarding this day. I look forward to seeing many of you on Friday.

Sneak Peek to our Academic Week 

Word Work: Please review spelling patterns during the week.  Students have the same sort this week as they had last week.

Reading: We continue our reading groups. We are learning to be 

Writing/Grammar:  Persuasive/Opinion Writing 

Finishing our writing and recording ourselves on Seesaw. They are learning to listen to themselves and check (edit) if they are missing important information. We are learning to look for our statement sentence, for two reasons, an example, and a closing sentence.

Writing sentences using punctuation marks, capital letters and spaces between words. 

Math:  In the last few weeks of school, I will be working on different chapters from our math curriculum. This week we will work on fact families and math facts. 

Religion: We will be learning about Mary.

Science: All about Sound! Vocabulary: Vibration

Art: Art with Ms. Sofer this week. We are preparing our Mother’s Day gift (shh!)! 

Reminders:

  • Library books are due Monday 
  • Homework is due Tuesday.
  • Friday: 2 pm Dismissal 
  • May 6th is In-n-Out day!
