Here is what first graders are doing this week…

Language Arts: We are wrapping up our unit on informative writings this week! In phonics this week, we are focusing on base words and endings –s, -ed, -ing. Our new spelling words are from Unit 33 this week and focus on our base words and endings with -ed.

Math: We are continuing with our geometry unit! We are working on 3-dimensional shapes and symmetry.

Science: We working from Chapter 4: Kinds of Environments. We are discussing what lives in a stream environment.

Social Studies: We begin our new unit this week. Unit 4 focuses on the land and using our resources well.

Religion: We are working from Chapter 18 this week – We Come to Our Good Shepherd.

Homework for the Week: (Don’t forget to read every night!)

  • Monday: IXL.com Skill V.2
  • Tuesday: Math Worksheet and Spelling p. 227
  • Wednesday: Spelling p. 228
  • Thursday: Math Worksheet and Spelling p. 230
  • Friday: Read 2 times!

Reminders for the Week:

  • PE Uniforms on Tuesday and Thursday.

  • Stations of the Cross on Wednesday at 2:00pm in the church!
