Students will have recess – after that classroom visits begin.

A look at our academics:

Religion: The Promise handbook helps us learn by reading and doing simple activities how special is God’s promise. Love and promises are the focus of our first section, Believe. God reveals himself to us when we read the Bible. We will begin learning about Creation.

ELA: This week we begin to sort pictures by foods and non foods. Phonics lessons review letters/sounds /m/, /s/, and /t/. Reading and Writing workshops pair with our phonics to picture read Old Classics and we begin writing simple stories as illustrators.

Math: over the next two weeks, we are using a variety of ways to learn numbers 1-9. This will reinforce counting skills. An introduction to sorting by attributes and an introduction to volume through sand and water.

Science: what do animals have in common? We watched a Mystery Science mini lesson today to learn about a few animals in the forest.

Social studies: Grandparent’s Day project.

On Monday, September 9 we have an on campus outreach program called “Ladybug Lady.” Cost $4.00 look for an envelope colored by your student coming home this week.
