Dear Fourth Grade Families,
I hope all had a wonderful spring break with family and friends!
Here’s our week in 4thgrade…
Math: We are moving on with Unit 8! This week, we determine how to find the area of shapes! As we move throughout the week, we will learn how to specifically find the area of a rectangle and of a parallelogram.
ELA:
-Writing: We are beginning our new unit on Literary Essays
-Reading: We are continuing our Reading Responses. Remember nightly homework is to read 20-30 minutes! We are also beginning to read our historical fiction books!
-Vocabulary: We are beginning our next unit! We will be taking our vocabulary test next week.
-Spelling: Spelling Words come from Unit 32 this week. Our test will be on Friday this week.
Social Studies:We are beginning our first lesson in our sixth chapter in our books.
Science:We are continuing with Chapter 7: Slow Changes on Earth. This week we will be finishing our study guide from our first lesson and moving into our second lesson.
Religion:We are continuing to focus on the Beatitudes as we work from our textbooks. This week, we will be doing a special religion project on Friday as we prepare to celebrate Mary in the month of May. Please send your student to school with a shoebox by Friday.
