The students very much enjoyed the Gold Rush presentation last week.  The history learned is in perfect timing of our upcoming social studies chapter on the Gold Rush.

Today we have a Valentine party at 2:00.  It is very hard to wait!!  Thank you to our wonderful room moms who provide us with the best treats!

Tomorrow is the chapter 6 test on measurement.  We then move forward to Geometry.  This is the only chapter of the book that I teach out of sequence, but it just seems to follow measurement so well.  Thursday I will give a cumulative grammar test.  This test includes nouns, verbs, and adjectives.  We have been spending time in class preparing for this test.  We begin reading The Cricket in Times Square this week.
