I have a lot of news this week for fourth grade!

Thank you to those who have returned your $22 and permission slips for our field trip to Olivas Adobe scheduled for next Tuesday, November 13th.  Please send a drink and a lunch with your child that day.  Please also send an old towel.  You will get it back, but it will not be clean!

Upcoming tests:  Science chapter 3 vocabulary test, Wed., Nov. 14th:  Social Studies chapter 3 vocabulary test, Tues. Nov. 20th

All Students should be studying their vocabulary words and spelling words each night.

Our next book report is a student choice.  The children were given a “Somebody-Wanted-But-So” form to fill out as they are reading.  This will help as they are writing their book summaries.  We will write the report in class.  Books need to be read and at school on or before Wednesday, Nov. 28th.

Each student has been given a particular type of poetry to look up online.  They are to print out and bring a poem of that type to share in class.  It is due this Friday, November 9th.  Please assist your child in finding a poem.

This week in math we begin a chapter with division as the focus.  It is very difficult for students to have success in division if they still do not know their multiplication facts.

Next Monday is a non-school day as we celebrate Veteran’s Day.

Please make sure that your student has enough pencils, erasers, etc.  Many have dwindling supplies that need to be replaced.

As always, please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Have a blessed week!

Mrs. Sharon Redmond
