This week we will begin our days with ITBS testing (except Friday.) Fourth grade will be testing for about an hour each morning. There will be no spelling words given this week. During testing weeks I try to lessen the academic load a bit. Homework will be very light. We will still have our science vocabulary test on Wednesday, but if the students have been reviewing these words over the the last several week as assigned, they will be ready.

I have asked the students to begin looking for a grade appropriate mystery to read for the next book report. The mystery should be completed and in class on or before Wednesday, October 17th.

This Wednesday, September 19th, at 6:30 the teachers will be meeting with parents in the hall. Among other topics, we will discuss the new Common Core state standards. Please try and attend this meeting if at all possible.

Work packets will be sent home tomorrow and you will see how hard we have been working! Please do not hesitate to email or see me if you have any comments, questions, or concerns.
