This past week in religion, first grade discussed how “God calls us”. Just as Jesus called the fisherman, James, John, Andrew, and Peter, God calls us to be his helpers as well.  These first apostles were “fishers of men” and helped God by spreading the Good News. We spent many minutes talking about the ways in which we are called by God and how we can spread the Good News too. In class we created a new religion bulletin board, which some of you may have noticed on Friday. We each drew a fish and on the back we wrote how we are called by God to be His helpers and make the world a better place.
