Dear Kindergarten Families,

We all have so much to be thankful for. I am truly grateful for your children, they make each day special. Enjoy time with family and friends during Thanksgiving weekend.

Wednesday is a free dress day we are asking for one or two dollars to help Holy Spirit School with their sports program.

Wednesday is the end of our short week – dismissal is at 12:00.

Academics:

We are wrapping up our unit on Saints. Praying the Lord’s Prayer and preparing for Advent.

English Language arts – rhyming pairs for word work, sight word practice and writing sentences using our sight words. Reading non-fiction and fiction books about Thanksgiving always noting sight words as we read.

Math finds us counting! Count with your children to 100 by ones, fives, and tens. it is easy to skip a number here and there. Help your child count and with ease to 30 or 50 maybe 100. Also to be able to recognize that teen numbers are 10 plus ones.

Social studies – we will reflect on Thanksgiving long ago and how it compares with what we do today.

** Homework is due this week on Tuesday or Wednesday!

***No homework over the long weekend. Keep up that reading habit! Find a warm spot and enjoy a good book.
