THE WEEK AHEAD:

Only 2 ½ days of school this week, and then the opportunity to spend time with family and friends over the long Thanksgiving Day weekend. We give thanks to God for the many blessings we have received. Happy Thanksgiving to all of my students and their families!

HOMEWORK (all due on Wednesday): There is no new work today; the work assigned last week (ixL, fluency, and reading log) is due this Wednesday.

DAILY WORK

Religion: We begin our study of the 10 Commandments.

Math: We are not ready for a test yet. We continue our work in Unit 3; the test will be after the Thanksgiving break.

Reading Workshop: We conclude our study of realistic fiction this week.

Writing Workshop: Our goal is to finish our realistic fiction stories this week so that we can enjoy reading them to our classmates after Thanksgiving.

Spelling: We will have a test on Unit 13 tomorrow.

Grammar: We continue work in unit 3, with the focus on Verbs.

Social Studies: We will have a test on issues 5-9 this Wednesday. Students received a study sheet last week (click here for a copy). study sheet 5-9  Spellingcity.com has review activities to help with preparation for the test.
