Dear Kindergarten Families,

We celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday in March with extra reading and rhyming.  After reading a good book together, have your student do their best work on the Story Map. We always enjoy sharing our stories in class!

Story Map

Today we read last week’s research on mammoths. Bravo! Your children did a great job!  These papers will be displayed in the School Fair. Please email me if you need a copy of the forms.

March is the last month for Book-it. Continue to read nightly for 20 minutes and fill out this reading log.

StoryLine Online

Storyline has a reading challenge: listen to 31 books in the 31 days of March! Listening to reading is beneficial to young readers. It promotes interest, relaxation, helps children to read with a story tellers voice, to learn when to pause and reflect, also the skill of voice inflection.

Happy reading!

Mrs. Brown
