Dear Kindergarten families,
This week ahead find some quality time to read! It’s the best 20 minute habit you can have with your child. Discuss what happens in the story or informational text. List reading on log and have your child tell how they feel about that book. Respond on either a non-fiction or fiction book form.
This week we have been working on time to the hour. Working on elapsed time can be a challenge. Make up time stories example: Let’s go to the park at 12:00 and spend 2 hours having fun. What time will we leave the park?

Review coins – as I check ixl for skills – a trouble spot for several is with counting coins. This is a difficult concept (changing value) using real money at home really helps! Spend some time and work on skill below. If your child is struggling with equivalency, work a little bit on skills T.2- T.5.

Much time has been spent in class on short vowel /o/ last 2 weeks. I’m seeing a trouble spot… or not yet worked on with skill below. Please spend some time on this skill.
