Dear Kindergarten Families,
This week check for homework papers in your child’s Red Homework folder. We have three papers due next Thursday, September 6. A new reading log, name printing, and math graphing paper. Please have your child write their own name on each paper – it is fine for parents to list book titles unless your child would like to do the honors!
When we have a long weekend I do not assign computer work as IXL, – An option for listening to a story which can be listed on the reading log (StorylineOnline) and (Starfall) for ABC practice and math. Please note these sites are extra practice and enrichment – but not a requirement.
Starfall is an educational and fun site for alphabet, reading, and math. I am not sure if all links will work on devices – but all links work on computers. Starfall has an extra component namely ‘more.starfall’ Since ‘more’ has a membership fee I only assign the learning games that come for free.
The Alphabet letters/sounds we have been working on are /m/ and /s/. Click links below – your child may want to visit other letters which is encouraged.
