We had a great time on Friday, thank you again for spending time in Kindergarten!
This week we will celebrate our Faith, Knowledge and Service.
Christian Faith and Practice – Learns to identify Church as a community of people who come together in God’s name.
Scripture and Christian Life – Understands that people are a gifts of God’s love.
Morality and Social Justice – Knows that Jesus taught love by His example and love.
Wednesday is Student Appreciation Day – free dress and a free hamburger lunch provided by Mrs. Benner!
ELA- Theme 6 begins with letter /L/ and short vowel /i/. Phonemic awareness: blending and segmenting CVC words and rhyming skills. Our reading strategy focus is to predict and infer; comprehension: fantasy and realism. Sentence structure: spacing and asking sentences – using correct punctuation.
EM- counting by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s; adding double digit numbers; number words to twenty; number formation; number stories; using the 110 number chart; and a review of plane shapes.
Science- its time to begin our landform project and learn more about volcanoes.
Social studies- we will be learning about famous Black Americans and their accomplishments for Black History Month.
