Welcome back and Happy New Year! Hope everyone shared a blessed Christmas Day together along with a fun, relaxing, and restful vacation time with family and friends.

Short days Wednesday thru Friday this week will accommodate the conference schedule. EDC is available beginning at 11:30.

Religion – the birth of Jesus and the journey of the Magi. We will begin a study of our School-wide Learning Expectations (SLE’s). This week A.1 “Learn about the Church and share with others”.

• ELA – review our letter/sounds and compound words for our word work. Finding sight words as we read and using sight words and illustrations to write about Christmas and vacation.
• Math finds us counting by 1s, 5s and 10s to at least 50 from different starting points. Addition games and illustrated math stories numbers to 10.
• Science – what animals do in winter – Mystery science lesson, “Why do bears hibernate?”
