Dear Kindergarten Families,

This is the week! Jog-a-thon is Friday. A big event for our school with a noon dismissal. Please support this end of year fundraiser and come enjoy the fun!

Religion – Chapter review, Jesus is the Light of the World. This week the celebration of the Mass. We will learn to pray the Lord’s Prayer, Hail Mary, and the Glory Be Prayer.

American Symbols will be our social studies, reading, and drawing unit for the rest of May. This week the Liberty Bell.

Words work continues with consonant blends and digraphs. Working with long vowel sounds and reviewing short vowel sounds. Sentences and using the correct punctuation as we write in journals.

Math finds us working with money. We are making exchanges and counting with pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. Might be fun to do some extra practice at home – have your child count change or start a coin jar. 🙂

We will have a lab on magnets this Thursday. Continuing to pick/ eat Snow Peas and look for insects as we take care of the backyard garden. Radishes are about ready!

Hope to see your families on Friday for Jogathon!

Blessings,

Mrs. Brown
