Dear Kindergarten families,
It’s already mid October! Thank you for choosing your child’s Saints. Remember to save the date November 17 for our Showcase/Sweets and Saint’s Parade!
Your children are doing well. I see steady growth in class. Completed work packets are coming home on Wednesday. Please review your child’s September work. Keep their paper treasures and return the folders. I have a new stack to send home in about week.
School EVENTS
This Friday is a noon dismissal.
Next Friday, November 27 is a free dress to raise money for Adopt-A-Family. Please send in a couple dollars for this worthy cause. Dismissal at 2p.
Halloween Tattoo presale begins this coming Monday. Check website for details.
Primary Centers is on Friday, November 3. Look for service hour calendar coming home soon.
ACADEMICS
Religion – continued learning about the Saints and praying Hail Mary.
Language arts – this week our letter focus /f/ and /v/. Sight words ‘is’ and ‘for’.
Math – counting to 100 by ones, tens, reviewing patterns, and place value.
Science – season changes for plants and animals.
Social studies – Fire Safety, rules and responsibility.
HOMEWORK
Read nightly and report on a book. Write title of book on paper. Have your child draw and label the picture to tell why You Should Read this Book. Or a simple sentence! Math pattern paper – it is a bit tricky have your child color some or all of leaves and circle the leaf that shows how the pattern repeats or extends.
