Dear Kindergarten Families,

It is time to start thinking about poems!  Our annual Speech Contest will be in April. Homework is to find a short poem for your child. Students commit to memory a published poem  4 to 8 lines – one prop is allowed.  Please find a poem your child enjoys to read in class. This is a required assignment. Some students do not want to compete, that is an option. For more information please click here Speech_Contest_2018

Suggested authors:   Shel Silverstein – Christina Rossetti – Jack Prelutsky – Ken Nesbitt

Google short children’s poems if you need any help – please email send me an email.

As always read nightly and record on March Book-it calendar. This is the last month for Book-it certificates.
