Dear Families,
Happy Catholic Schools Week!
Daily we pray for our families, school, friends and others in our community. This week we focus on the love in our heart and how Jesus taught us to care for others. Hearts are good!
Help others this week by sending in non-perishable food items and warm wear.
Your children may have mentioned our class backyard lab. We have found two monarch chrysalises and several monarch caterpillars. The Snow Peas are growing well and producing delicious peas! We have been snacking on peas most everyday.
Events for a busy month ahead
February is just a day away! Primary Centers on Friday with a noon dismissal.
Monday marks 100 days of school!!! Homework this week is to fill those 100 day bags with 100 items in groups of 10. If you’d like, it is fine to group by 5, 20, or 25. Please use small snack size bags and mark the number on bags.
EXCITING NEWS!! Our class book was sent off to publishers on Friday last week. We should all have our books during the week of President’s Day. 🙂
We will read about Lunar New Year and bring home a craft for the Year of the Dragon.
Ash Wednesday is February 14 this year. Valentine’s Day pairs up with the beginning of Lent.
President’s Day the following week and we end February on the 29th. Leap year!
Lots of fun this week and much more to come…..stay tuned.
Blessings,
Mrs. Brown
