As we begin the final week of trimester 1, we have quite a lot going on academically!  Some work will carry over to next week, as it is a short 2 ½ day week, and any tests done next week will be part of the first trimester grades.

I am assigning four ixL skills, to be completed by next Wednesday: D3, D4, E1 and E2.

We will complete reading logs, which will be due next Monday.

This week we continue writing our personal narratives in Writer’s Workshop.

In Vocabulary we are doing a review unit for units 1-6 (no, we did not start unit 7 last week).

In Spelling we are studying Unit 10 words and will have a test on this unit next Tuesday.

In Grammar we will do a make-up test for Units 1 and 2 on Wednesday, and we will continue our study of verbs.

We continue working on Unit 3 in Math, focusing upon factors and multiples, products and quotients.

In Religion, we have finished our Saints reports, so this week we are focusing upon Our Lady, which is chapter 9.  This will complete Unit 2, and the test will be on Thursday.

In Social Studies we continue group presentations on Native American tribes.

We will conclude our study of chapter two in Science, with a test this Friday.  We will conclude our lima bean lab, so get ready for some lima bean plants coming home on Thursday!

In Reading groups, we continue discussions and activities related to our books.
