Dear Kindergarten Families,
I hope all mothers and grandmothers enjoyed their special day yesterday! “Life does not come with a manual, it comes with a mother!”
Thanking everyone for making our Jogathon a successful day! It was nice to see so many parents and grandparents here to enjoy their children.
The month of May brings birthdays for Connor and Leila 🙂
This is a full week with a full day Friday. We are going to make this a good learning week!
A look at our academics:
Religion – Celebrating is Good! Chapter 22 in our text – centered on Mass and how we celebrate, learn, respond and listen when we go to Mass. A children’s movie, “The Day the Sun Danced” will be viewed in parts during the week.
ELA: reviewing our letter/sound combinations, sentences and punctuation; writing and reading workshops. Social studies lessons about Memorial Day will be included during our reading/phonics groups.
Math: reinforcement of addition and subtraction skills, data collections and graphing skills, 2- and 3- dimensional shapes, and time to the hour.
Science: direct and indirect uses of water – and a lab on sink/float.
Health: healthy eating and taking care of our bodies will be covered for the next two weeks.
Enjoy your week,
Mrs. Carol Brown
