Dear Kindergarten Parents,

Thank all of you who helped in various ways to make our Jog-a-thon a success! It was a fun day that all enjoyed. Today we have an on campus outreach field trip Animals of the Rain Forest. I am sure your children will enjoy and have lots to say about this program.

We will read about Pentecost and make a craft for our religion lesson.  Your child may bring their rosary on Tuesday @ 11:00 a Living  Rosary will be celebrated with the middle school students leading us in prayer. On Thursday we will attend Mass as Friday is a school holiday to start the four day Memorial Day weekend.

Reading comprehension includes noting details for characters and settings.  Letter / sound focus are the short vowels and initial consonant /Y/ and reviewing letters /h/,/d/,/m/.

Math finds moving on to subtraction as we finished the addition chapter last week. We will review plane and solid shapes and hopefully do a little work with symmetry this week.

Memorial Day will be our Social Studies focus. During our science lab last week we made a ‘wormery’ for investigaton and discovery. We will continue to monitor the movement in the worm containers and measure our growing garden.
