Dear Second Grade Families,
First Holy Communion was wonderful. Thank you for all your help in getting your child ready for this beautiful occasion. A special thank you to Father John! Also to Father Bill, who arranged the music. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration extra special.

Homework: NEW READING LOG, IXL (M.14), No Fluency this week, Study for Spelling Test
POEMS MUST BE MEMORIZED BY WEDNESDAY! Practice at home so they will not be nervous reciting before their peers. This is part of their English Language Arts Listening and Speaking Standard.
RELIGION: Completing Unit 4 Reviewing Religion before our test next Monday. We will play our fun jeopardy game.
LANGUAGE ARTS:
READING: We will wrap up the story Carousal. We are working on analyzing character behavior.
Our read aloud will be The Mouse and the Motorcycle
Writing: persuasive writing; word attack; vocabulary development; dictionary work and cursive handwriting.
SPELLING; Unit 29; er spelling patterns. Test will be on Thursday. Your child may study their words using spellingcity.com.
MATH: Adding and subtracting facts to 20; adding and subtracting with and without regrouping; We are on Unit 7.1-7.4. We will work on multi-digit addition problems, Input and Output.
SOCIAL STUDIES/SCIENCE: Market & Money/ Rocks
