Dear families,

A nice weekend to thank many Veterans in our families and community for serving our country.

The Saint’s Parade was beautiful. Your children looked very saintly and did a great job during Mass as well as presenting to all their Saint and their Saint’s name.

A look at our shortened week:

  • Religion – Families are Good, chapter 7. Learning about the Holy Family and how we as family members love and care for one another. We will continue learning about Saints in heaven through November.
  • Word Scientists finds us looking closely at our snap words (sight words) we are working on these six words “I, me, a, the, my, like”. Our workshops goal is to apply these snap words as we read more words and write simple sentences. We continue with rhyming pairs.
  • Math practice – knowing teen numbers are represented by tens and ones. We will find time to measure this week and arrange objects by length.
  • Science – a lesson from Mystery Science – Where Do Animals Live? Changes in animals as they prepare for winter will be part of our unit on animals during November and December.
  • Social studies – reviewing our reading lesson on Veterans.

Friday is a full day of school!

Blessings,

Mrs. Brown
