Dear Fifth Grade Families,
I hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend. The students have a very busy week ahead of them.
Please have your child wear their P.E. uniform on Thursday. Every night your child should be reviewing their Social Studies and Science notes. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is fifthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org.
Below is an overview of our week.
Math: On Tuesday, November 13 we will have our Chapter 3 math test. We will then begin chapter 4, division.
Science: Students will be writing a five-paragraph paper for their Science chapter 3 test. We will be working on this all week during class and computer lab time.
Vocabulary: Unit 5.
Spelling: Unit 7. We will have a pretest on Thursday. We will have our test this Friday.
Social Studies: Our chapter 3 test is on November 16th.
English: Our focus this week is expanding, and reducing sentences for meaning and interest.
Religion: This week we will continue our focus on the Rosary and the Mysteries of the Rosary.
Literature: We will continue reading our novel, Indian in the Cupboard.
