Dear Families,

I hope everyone had a restful long weekend.  Today we completed our monthly emergency drill.  I was very proud of how the students handled the drill.  We were in the MP Room 2 and everything went smoothly!   Wednesday is a free dress day for a $1.00 donation.  This Friday is a noon dismissal.

Below is an overview of our week:

Voc: Unit 6

Spelling: Unit 5

Science: Chapter 3, The Human Body System.  This week we will be focusing on the respiratory and circulatory systems.

Social Studies: We will discuss the skill of cause and effect.  We will be starting our lesson on the Mayas and Aztecs.

Math: We will have our Chapter 4 test on Tuesday and then we will be working on measurement and integers.   We continue to work on our Football Math. The students really enjoy this1

Literature:  We continue with our novel, Indian in the Cupboard.

Religion:   Our focus is on how we honor Jesus in the Eucharist.

English:  We will explore literary elements, location, time period, and atmosphere with the story A Secret for Two.
