Dear Fifth Grade Families,

This Wednesday is Free Dress for a donation of $1.00.  This Friday is a full day schedule.

Please have your child wear their P.E. uniform on Thursday.    Every night your child should be reviewing their Social Studies and Science notes. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. My email address is fifthgrade@sacredheartschoolventura.org.

Below is an overview of our week.

Math: Chapter 2.   This Friday the students have a quiz on vocabulary for chapter 2.   Our chapter 2 math test will be next Wednesday, October 24^th.

Science: Chapter 2, Plant Systems.  I have moved the test to Wednesday, October 17^th.

Vocabulary: Unit 3.  We will have our test this Friday.

Spelling: Unit 3.  We will have a pretest on Thursday.  We will have our test this Friday.

Social Studies: Chapter 2.   Our focus is on the Great Plains and the Woodland Native Americans.  We will have our Chapter 2 test next Monday October 22^nd.

English: Our objective this week is to be able to identify linking verbs.  We will begin working on verb tenses.

Religion:  Our focus will be on Saint Teresa of Avila.

Literature:  We will be reading our novel, Indian in the Cupboard.
