Dear Families,

This week we will be having an assembly on Thursday for Hats Off For Cancer.  Please have your child bring a new hat or cap  to be donated.  Picture retake day is this Wednesday.  We continue to sell water every Tuesday and Thursday for $1.00.

Below is an overview for our week.

Social Studies:  We are starting chapter two and focusing on the Northwestern Indians.

Science: Plant Systems is our focus for Chapter 2.  This week we will be learning about how plants produce food.

Math:  Multiplying by two digit numbers and problem solving is what we will be working on this week.  Our Chapter 3 test will be next Monday.

Spelling: Unit 1

Lit:  We continue to read Indian in the Cupboard.  The students are doing a wonderful  job about making the connections from the book to our Social Studies.

Religion:  We are learning how Jesus celebrates the Sacraments.  On Tuesday we will be visiting the church and having a tour of the saints depicted on the stain glass windows.  Wednesday at two we will be having a living rosary.  Please join us in the church if you can.

English:  We will continue to discuss similes, personification and metaphors.
