The winners of the 2020 Palmisano Writing Contest were announced at Friday’s assembly.

Each year all students write to a prompt, five are chosen from each class, and The Palmisano Family selects winners from the primary, intermediate, and Middle School levels.

Normally our winners are announced in March on the Feast of St Joseph as The Palmisano Family honors their father, Joseph, using the Scholarship Fund created in his name to cover one month’s tuition for each of the winners. This year’s move to distance learning created the delay.

The Palmisano Family enjoyed all of the finalists’ writing, and selected four winners this year, one at the primary and intermediate levels, and two in the Middle School.

At the primary level, Sophia A in second grade is the winner.

At the intermediate level, Elena S in fourth grade is the winner.

And at the Middle School level, the winners are both 8th grade students: Joaquin R and Gabriella N.

Our congratulations to all of the winners; our thanks to The Palmisano Family for the creation and maintenance of The Joseph Palmisano Memorial Scholarship Fund.
