In the beginning of the school year, it was very hot at Sacred Heart School, so on Thursday, September 5th, at 11:15 am, the 17 Sacred Heart School families, and staff, participated in the “Popsicles With Families” Activity.

At the lunch tables, 2 families shared a table and each family played games like “Guess my Name” and “Guess my Favorite Color” to get each family to know each other.

While that was happening, the Sacred Heart School Staff gave a popsicle to each student. Many students got excited, and loved the popsicles once they got them.

This reporter spoke with Sienna Lara, an eighth grader, and parent of Family 12, and she said, “It was a good idea. I got to know my family better.” Malachi Tu, a third grader, also said, “It was fun. I liked the popsicles and had fun with my family.” Alex Romero, an eighth grader, and parent of Family 13, said, “I liked it and got to learn all my kids names. Also my kids were happy that they got popsicles.” Many students at Sacred Heart School enjoyed this activity a lot, as you can tell.

In conclusion, the “Popsicles With Families” Activity brought families closer together, while having fun, and having a cool, sweet, treat at the lunch tables during that hot day.
