Dear Second Grade Parents,
Thank you for your attendance at Back to School Night. The children were so excited when they found the sparkler you had left in their desk. Hope all your questions were answered. This is a four-day week with Friday being Grandparent’s day and a minimum day.

Tuesday: P.E.
Wednesday: $1.00 Free Dress
Thursday: P.E.
Friday: Grandparent’s Day! Noon Dismissal.

Language Arts: More short vowels in spelling and phonics, identifying a sentence, reading for comprehension, fluency and homophones.
Spelling Unit 2; review with spelling city. Review words with short o, e, u
Math: We will continue on addition facts through 12, order property, counting on, the use of number line, doubles and doubles plus 1.
Science/Social Studies: Groups and communities/Plants
Flat Stanley information will go out on Thursday in your child’s homework folder. Please be looking for a host for your “Flat” child.
