Reading Log Wk 12 – read for a minimum of 20 minutes daily with a goal of 100 or more minutes per week


A SNEAK PEEK AT OUR ACADEMICS


READING:  We are learning to check our own reading and use different strategies when figuring out new words.

PHONICS: We have started a new unit and are learning how to solve challenging words methodically, part by part.

SPELLING: Spelling tests will be on Friday.

MATH: We are learning how to estimate if we have enough money to purchase items. We are also learning different strategies for solving multi-digit addition problems using place value and multiples of ten.

WRITER’S WORKSHOP: We continue working on our informational books as we make the final touches before publication.

SOCIAL STUDIES: We will be learning about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

SCIENCE: Mystery Science is back! We will be learning about the importance of sunlight to plants.

RELIGION: We are learning about sin, temptation, mistakes, and accidents in relation to the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation.
